About

Thanks for checking out my blog, and feel free to check me out on Twitter @CharlesBelmont!  Turning the Nights into Words is about my journey as a writer, but also as a reader, gamer, and pro-wrestling fan.

I’m a writer from Detroit, Michigan, but currently living in central Ohio with my wife, daughter, three cats, and an Australia Shepard named Gaspode.  I’m currently finishing up a Psychology degree with a Communications minor at The Ohio State University, with the hopes on moving on to a master’s.

Meanwhile, I’m trying to make my lifelong dream of living as a writer come true!  I write mostly fantasy stories, taking inspiration from my younger days reading C.S. Lewis, Terry Brooks, J.R.R. Tolkien, a plethora of Dragonlance books, and many, many more.

As of this writing, I have three books in later stages of editing and drafting, and will make announcements as they arrive.

Additionally, I’d be remiss if I didn’t make special note of a few other books and authors that have been profound inspirations in my desire to write: Richard A. Knaak’s The Legend of Huma, Gregg Costikyan’s By the Sword, Kate Novak and Jeff Grubb’s Azure Bonds, Rose Estes’s multiple Greyhawk Adventures, and more to be named as I recall them!

Fantasy Adventures Volume 1: Five Short Stories of Humor, Love, and War is out now for 99¢!
